Busting Excuses
We all tend to make excuses when we get nervous. We make excuses not to give ourselves the love we deserve or take the time to care for ourselves. Sometimes life is just too busy and we forget. Sometime’s it’s just not at the top of our priority list. We also use excuses like “I need to loose 15 pounds first!” and “I don’t have the money right now.” I wanted to write this quick article to show you that no matter what’s going on in life or what excuses we have going, you can do it! Let me show you that no matter the excuse, you are worth of self love and to pamper yourself a little bit.
“I don’t have enough time for myself.”
It’s also important to remember that if you aren’t taking care of yourself mentally, you’re not going to be able to take care of everyone and everything else. Which makes sense but is so much easier said than done. Sometimes I’m the worst at making sure I get in my mental health breaks and that’s why I think it’s so important to share this with you. I make the same excuses and sometimes I just need someone to look me in the eye and say “SLOW DOWN! Give yourself a break and take a breathe.”
At a boudoir session you are able to breathe, relax and love and enjoy yourself for a few hours. Think of all the energy you’ll save on a daily basis if you stop comparing yourself to others, stop worrying about what other people think. You get to see where your true beauty really comes from and this lifts such a huge mental weight, and you get to have fun while doing it.
You need to take time for yourself, so why not spend some quality time getting glammed up and pampered for the day?
“I’m not where I want to be weight wise”
Did you know that the body type portrayed in advertising as the ideal is possessed naturally by only 5% of American females? Only 5%!
I will say this over and over again. Sorry not sorry. Why do we have to be a certain size to begin loving ourselves? Why do we have to fit a strangers messed up idea of a perfect body in order to love our own bodies. Why do we compare our size to everyone else when no two women are the same?
I think it’s amazing to have goals and to aspire to be healthy, but does that mean that we have to hate our body in the mean time? Absolutely not. We should love ourselves every step of the way. We need to be proud of where we are so that we can be proud of where we’re going. Have a boudoir session to celebrate where you are now, and then have another one when you loose that 15 pounds to celebrate how far you’ve come!
“I never feel sexy anymore so a boudoir session must not be for me.”
WRONG.
This excuse is the exact reason why you should do a boudoir session!
Often times we lose touch with our femininity or sexuality when life gets crazy because of health, kids, work – just life. It happens a lot and it is normal and okay. A great way to find that side of ourselves again is to have a boudoir session done to give us that spark back. I can show you that you have that inside of you somewhere, and it might even ignite a spark with you and your significant other as well.
Another thing to remember is that you don’t have to wear super sexy clothing or lingerie if you don’t want to. If you feel like that doesn’t show your personality, then there are so many other outfit ideas. I’ll gladly help you find something perfect for you or you can explore some other blog posts on my website that may help.
“A boudoir session is an investment and I don’t have all the money right now”
Yes, a boudoir experience is an investment. It’s also an investment into yourself. You are investing into your well-being and confidence as well. I do offer payment plans, and after placing your booking retainer to get your session scheduled, we can set up the payment plan for the remaining balance so it’s easier to take care of. If you have any questions about payment plans, shoot me an email when setting up your session.
